With participation on the rise, new territories attending, additional recruitment sessions and speeches from industry leaders, the Mifa 2016 has recorded striking growth and provides a unique outlook on the development factors of this constantly evolving industry. | ||||||||||||||||
Continual Growth Over the Past 12 Years2,800 accreditations + 4.5% vs 2015 68 countries (vs 64 in 2015) were represented in an exhibition space of over 5,000 m2, with first time participations from Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Turkey and New Zealand and an impressive turnout from Canada. 35 projects were presented to prospective partners (producers, distributors, etc.). | ||||||||||||||||

Mifa & Variety’s Animation Personality of the Year Award for Peter Lord and David SproxtonPeter Lord and David Sproxton, founders of the celebrated British studio Aardman Animations, received the 2016 Mifa & Variety’s Animation Personality of the Year Award.
