Annecy 2018

France Télévisions has decided to emphasize their presence and collaboration at the Festival and the Mifa by becoming the official partner of the event.

"France Télévisions has a long-standing history with the Festival and the Mifa: we had numerous encounters and introductions at Annecy that have participated in the creation of our success. We are very pleased to formalise our well-established relationship with this expanded partnership, and to show the international animation world our common challenges to the public audience.”

Delphine Ernotte Cunci, CEO of France Télévisions

"The organizers of the Annecy Festival and International Animation Film Market are pleased and proud to benefit – beginning this year for a total of three – from the backing of France Télévisions as the official partner of the world’s greatest event dedicated to animated movies.

For Annecy, this joining of forces with European animation’s prime partner is excellent encouragement for us to continue to expand our event and thereby contribute to the international vibrancy of this sector."

Patrick Eveno, CEO of CITIA

About France Télévisions:

France Télévisions, the leading broadcasting group in 2017 with 28.3% audience share, attracts around 32-million French citizens every day, thanks to its rich and varied editorial.

The group is composed of 5 national channels with strong and complementary identities (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France Ô), a regional and over-seas network, and franceinfo that provides news on all the supports. The France Télévisions group is present in all the types of programmes and at any given moment offers legitimate viewing choice.

With the vast increase in types of supports (mobile telephone, tablet), and the evolution of use (Replay, etc.), France Télévisons constantly adapts to new technologies to keep up with the viewers’ needs and expectations.

In 2017 France Télévisions gave animation 5,800 hours of broadcasting time. As leading partner of French animation the group screens over 50% French and European productions, which highlights the creativity and expertise of French studios.

About The Annecy International Animation Film Festival:

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, created in 1960, and its Market (Mifa), that celebrated 30 years in 2015, have become the unmissable meeting place for the global animation film industry.

From acclaimed animators to budding artists, directors and producers to teachers and students, the Festival and Mifa gather together 10,000 professionals from more than 85 different countries. The Festival offers a clever balance between independent productions and major films.

More than 3,000 badgeholders (producers, distributors, broadcasters, etc.) meet at the Mifa, which has become the leading platform for the global animation industry.

The Meetings, which is the third axis to the event, brings together more than 100 international experts overseeing about 27 sessions (Keynotes, Work in Progress, Making of, etc.) in 5 days.

This event is organized by CITIA, a center of excellence in Haute-Savoie, dedicated to the image and creative industries.
